Does the tag work on all cylinder sizes?

Yes. Our cylinder tags are designed for the curvature range of standard gas cylinders from small medical cylinders (100 mm diameter) to large industrial cylinders (300 mm diameter). The antenna design is optimized for curved metal surfaces and maintains 2-6 m read range across the diameter range. For very small cylinders (lecture bottles), we recommend our compact Ø32 mm round tag.

Can the tag survive being dropped with the cylinder?

Yes. Gas cylinders are routinely dropped, rolled and handled roughly. Our tags use a potted epoxy construction that absorbs impact energy and protects the RFID chip. The tag passes a 2-meter drop test onto concrete (with the cylinder). The mounting method (adhesive, clamp or rivet) is chosen to withstand the forces typical in gas distribution operations.

Is ATEX certification available?

Yes. We offer ATEX/IECEx certified versions for cylinders used in explosive atmospheres (hydrogen, acetylene, propane).
