Can tokens be transferred between vehicles?
By default, the token is linked to the parker account, not a specific vehicle, under GDPR / CCPA data-minimisation principles. It can be used with any vehicle driven by the authorised parker. For applications requiring vehicle-specific binding, the system can pair the token UID with a licence-plate number and validate both at the barrier using ANPR / LPR (Genetec AutoVu / Tattile / Neology) alongside the ISO/IEC 14443 read — a pattern common in corporate, hospital and airport estates.
What happens if a token is lost or stolen?
The parking-management-system administrator (SKIDATA ControlPanel / Designa Abacus / Amano iParcNet / TIBA Smart Park / WPS ParkAdvance / Scheidt Entervo / T2 Luke) deactivates the lost token's UID in the authorised database. Any subsequent tap is rejected at the barrier. A replacement token with a new UID is issued and linked to the parker's account. Since the token itself stores no financial value by default (the balance is tokenised in the PCI DSS v4.0 server database), a lost token does not create a financial liability. For NTAG424 DNA tokens, the per-site AES-128 key can also be rotated to invalidate any lost-token cryptographic authenticator.
Should I choose an NFC or a UHF parking token for barrier access?

For legacy estates the MIFARE Classic 1K / 4K option matches installed SKIDATA / Designa / Amano readers; new deployments should specify NTAG424 DNA or MIFARE DESFire EV3 for cryptographic authentication. Confirm your controller model and firmware with us before the keyed lot so the block-write template is pre-approved.
Can a parking token be cloned, and how is it secured?
A plain 7-byte-UID token can be read and copied at the kerb, which is why higher-risk portfolios specify a cryptographic SKU. The NTAG424 DNA SUN message generates an AES-128 CMAC-signed URL on every tap that the parking-management server verifies, and MIFARE DESFire EV3 adds AES-128 mutual authentication — both block the sidewalk key-copy attack that plain NTAG and MIFARE Classic tokens suffer. Per-site AES-128 key diversification with an HSM-backed key ceremony contains a compromised token to one site, and the per-site key can be rotated to invalidate any lost authenticator.
What is the MOQ and lead time for parking tokens?
MOQ is 500 pc for standard NTAG213 / NTAG215 coin tokens and 1,000 pc for an NTAG424 DNA SUN or MIFARE DESFire EV3 AES-keyed lot with factory key diversification. Standard lead time is 7-12 business days, with a 5-day expedite available on pre-approved SKIDATA, Designa, Amano and WPS block-write templates. Samples of the coin, card, windshield, valet and key-fob SKUs are available for barrier-reader compatibility testing before a production order.
