Event wristbands in four formats
Each event wristband is three parts: the band, an RFID or NFC inlay, and the fastener that holds it on the wrist. We make them in Tyvek for one-day events, woven fabric for multi-day festivals, silicone for wet or reusable programmes, and wood or coconut shell for premium events, each with the chip your system specifies, where that format offers it, and printed and numbered to match. The chip holds an identifier that your ticketing or cashless platform looks up; how access, cashless payment and activation are set up around it is covered in the RFID event wristbands guide.

PVC (vinyl) bands are offered for hotels on the RFID wristbands for hotels page; an event version is confirmed on a sample. PVC breathes less than fabric, which matters for multi-day wear in heat.

Closures and fit
The fastener is a security control, not a trim detail: on a paid event it decides whether a band can be slipped off and passed over a fence. A one-way locking slider tightens onto the wrist and cannot be loosened without cutting, so fit it snugly; woven bands that must stay with one person for the whole event use it. On Tyvek, the adhesive tab is the disposable equivalent and tears if anyone tries to remove it. A reusable snap or watch-style clasp on silicone opens and fastens repeatedly for members' programmes, staff and multi-season use, where bands are collected, wiped down and reissued. Locked bands need scissors at staffed exit points, so plan removal at the same time.
On fit, Tyvek and woven bands are made to length and closed at the wearer's wrist. Silicone bands come in fixed and adjustable sizes, listed with how to measure on the silicone wristbands page; send a size split with the quantity if you order them.

Printing, numbering and sponsor artwork
Tyvek takes full-colour print, woven bands carry a woven logo, silicone is debossed, printed or laser-engraved, wood heads are laser-engraved or UV-printed, and coconut-shell heads are laser-engraved, with printed artwork checked on a proof sample. Variable numbers and QR codes are printed or engraved to match each chip, and a different colour or print per ticket tier lets stewards tell general admission, VIP and crew apart at a glance. Metallic inks, foil and metal parts reduce read range when they sit over the inlay, so check the inlay position before approving the artwork.
Encoding and data
Bands are supplied blank for your own encoder, or encoded before they ship: an NDEF URL on NTAG, a serial or record in your system's layout, or applications on DESFire to the specification you supply. Every encoded band is read back, and each encoded order ships with a data report. For numbered bands, a file in Excel, CSV or XML pairs each band's UID, or EPC on a UHF band, with its printed number, ready to import. Samples, lead time and ordering
Proud Tek has manufactured RFID and NFC products in its Shenzhen factory since 2008. Pricing is quote-only against your specification. Free standard samples are available for reader testing; customised samples, for example with your artwork or encoding, carry a setup fee. Standard products generally take 2–3 weeks; custom-woven, printed or encoded bands and large orders are scheduled in the quotation; a custom weave adds its set-up to that schedule.

Which wristband suits a one-day event, and which a multi-day festival?
Tyvek with an adhesive tab for a single day: it is the lowest-cost format, prints in full colour and is discarded afterwards. For a festival of several days, woven fabric with a one-way lock, which is comfortable in heat and cannot be loosened without cutting. Choose silicone when guests swim or the bands will be reused.
Are event wristbands waterproof?
Silicone and woven bands with a sealed inlay work after rain, swimming and showering, which is why they suit water parks and multi-day festivals. Tyvek survives rain but is not intended for prolonged soaking; choose the material by how long and how wet the band will be worn.
Which lock stops a band being passed on?
A one-way locking slider on a woven band, or a locking fastener on silicone where the model offers one, keeps the band with one guest for the whole event. Tyvek's adhesive tab does the same for a single day. A reusable snap or watch-style clasp suits only members' programmes, staff or multi-season bands that are collected and reissued.
Which chips can event wristbands carry?
At 13.56 MHz: NTAG213/215/216, MIFARE Ultralight EV1, NXP MIFARE Classic EV1 1K/4K, NTAG 424 DNA and MIFARE DESFire, with the DESFire generation and memory confirmed in the quotation. For counting at a distance, the UHF wristband carries an EPC Gen2 chip. Whether a given format carries a given chip, for example Ultralight or Classic 4K in silicone, is confirmed in the quotation. The supported-chip list of your ticketing or cashless system decides which one to order.
Can the bands be pre-encoded and numbered?
Yes, once your system provider has confirmed the format. Each band is written with the specified URL, serial or record and read back before it ships, and the encoded order comes with a data report. Printed numbers or QR codes can match the chip, and an Excel, CSV or XML file delivered with numbered bands pairs each band's UID, or EPC on a UHF band, with its number, so the gate only has to look a band up, not write to it.
What sizes are the wristbands?

Can sponsor artwork cover the chip area?
Full-colour print, woven logos, deboss and engraving are all used on event bands, but metallic inks, foil and metal clasps over the inlay reduce read range. Keep those clear of the inlay, and approve a printed sample on your own gate and bar readers before the run.
Are samples free, and how long does an order take?
Standard samples are free; customised samples carry a setup fee. Standard products generally take 2–3 weeks, while custom-woven, printed or encoded bands and large orders are scheduled in the quotation. Allow time for artwork approval and for testing the sample on your readers before production starts.
