Is the sample pack genuinely free?
Yes — the sample pack content is free. The buyer covers DHL / FedEx shipping (typically $25–60 depending on destination). We do not bundle shipping into the sample price because shipping rates vary so widely by region; transparent shipping cost is fairer than rolled-in shipping cost. Once we receive your form submission we email a shipping quote alongside the pack confirmation.
Why a 5-field form? Other manufacturers ask for 10 or 15 fields.
Because the only information we actually need to ship the right pack is your name (so we know who to address the email to), your email (so we can reply), your country (so we can quote shipping), your target quantity (so we know what production tier to brief the pack against) and your project notes (so we can swap chips into the pack to match your application). Everything else — company size, job title, budget range, decision timeline — is qualifying-quiz friction that procurement teams correctly resent.
Can I request specific chips that are not in the standard pack?
Yes. Does the sample pack include a written specification sheet?
Yes — every pack ships with a 2-page printed specification card listing the chip family, the chip part number, the antenna size, the form-factor dimensions, the operating temperature range, the read-range datasheet number and the Proud Tek SKU for each sample. The same sheet is also emailed as a PDF on dispatch.
What if I need to evaluate samples under NDA?
We sign mutual NDAs at the project-brief stage — common for healthcare, defense, luxury-brand authentication and pharmaceutical buyers. The sample pack itself is generic production-grade SKU, but the encoding (if pre-encoded) and the project-brief conversation are covered under NDA. How does this differ from buying a 100-piece evaluation batch?
The free sample pack is for chip-family and form-factor validation — 8–12 SKUs, mixed chip families, mixed form factors. An evaluation batch is the next step: 100–500 pieces of a single chip and form factor in a generic SKU (no custom artwork) so you can run a real software / encoding / reader-platform integration test. Evaluation batches ship at standard FOB Shenzhen pricing and typically land in 7–14 days.
